As part of my print induction I produced this series of mono-prints, created using my ‘compact’ typeface. I experimented with various amounts of ink, masking out certain areas and number of layers in each print. I also experimented with two different stocks, one matt and one glossy to see the different effects. I chose to produce my ‘compact’ typeface with this method of print as it gives a crisp and defined edge, emphasizing the compactness of the type. I produced the letter H as it was the most simple and easiest to use. H is also I rotated 90 degrees.
